Electronic Arts and Visceral Games have revealed the minimum and recommended PC requirements for their upcoming Battlefield Hardline first-person shooter, while confirming that those who want to participate in today's new open beta can preload its files on the PC and Xbox One platforms.

Battlefield Hardline launches in March, and developer Visceral Games has already taken several extra months to polish the game and ensure that all the feedback from last summer's beta stage is implemented successfully.

Ahead of its new release in March, a new open beta is set to take place across all of the game's platforms, from the PC to the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

The minimum and recommended PC specs are now available

Now, in order to ensure that PC owners are ready for the game's debut, EA reveals on the official website the minimum and recommended system requirements. Like with most recent Frostbite 3 titles, the low specs are pretty good, but if you want to play the shooter at the recommended level, you need to have really new graphics cards with enough VRAM.

Another key requirement refers to the hard drive space, as a whopping 60GB of room is needed to ensure that all the files can be installed properly. What's also interesting is that Visceral and EA recommend a Windows 8 64-bit operating system complete with the KB971512 update.

The two companies also mention that the open beta on PC might encounter issues on computers with 4GB or less of RAM, as the game is still being optimized for those configurations.

The Hardline beta is now available for preload on some platforms

Besides sharing some details about the PC edition of the game, EA also mentions that Battlefield Hardline's new open beta is now available for preload on the PC and Xbox One platforms. The PC edition requires around 9.6GB, while the Xbox One version needs 10.7GB. As of right now, however, the test version isn't available on PS3, PS4, or Xbox 360.

In addition to showcasing the PC specifications, which you can view by pressing the "Show Requirements" button, a special video that goes in-depth about Battlefield Hardline on PC and its different features has also been presented, so check it out below.
