Video game developer Visceral Games and Electronic Arts seem to be satisfied at the moment with both the performance and the balance of Battlefield Hardline, but the companies are working on a first patch for the title, which does not yet have an official launch date.

Thaddeus Sasser, the leading designer for the multiplayer side of the game, has taken to the official forums of the first-person shooter to offer more details about the changes the company is aiming to make, although he makes it clear that the list is not an exhaustive one.

The developers say that once the update for Battlefield Hardline gets through the certification process on home consoles, more information about it will be offered.

Gamers who want to take a look at the list of changes prepared so far can click the button at the end of this article.

Visceral Games has included a range of bug fixes, most of them based on the information offered by the community, for a variety of modes and platforms.

When it comes to the gameplay mechanics of Battlefield Hardline, the company is aiming to improve balance by changing the characteristics of the weapons and by making the couch less powerful in combat, with a negligible repair rate.

Four DLC packs are being prepared for the shooter

Visceral Games has said that it will first seek to find a point where most of the community is satisfied with the multiplayer experience offered by Battlefield Hardline.

Only then the company will shift its focus to the development and the launch of the four downloadable content packs that are being planned for it, with the first one called Criminal Activity and designed to focus on smaller jobs and events.

Battlefield Hardline was well received by the fan community, but Electronic Arts has so far not offered any clear sales numbers for it.

It will be interesting to see whether the title, which moves away from the familiar military theme in order to deal with the conflict between cops and criminals, is able to remain relevant in the long term, especially given that DICE is continuing to work on new content for Battlefield 4 and also plans to launch the Star Wars: Battlefront experience in the fall of this year.
