Battlefield Hardline might have had a rough time until it was actually launched, but the title from developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts has managed to perform well since then, taking a new number one in the United Kingdom video game sales chart.

The first-person shooter has managed to convince plenty of franchise fans to stay engaged with the new multiplayer modes, which are focused on the conflict between criminals and cops.

The entire experience is more dynamic and focused than in previous Battlefield titles, and DICE is already working on new content and more patches for it.

Second place for the week that ended on April 4 is occupied, according to data from UKIE, by Grand Theft Auto V, the open world title from Rockstar, which is performing very well even if it has not yet been launched on the PC.

The last position on the podium belongs to Bloodborne, which has lost one place during the week.

The experience created by From Software aims to take the core elements of Dark Souls and the well-known difficulty and make the core mechanics more approachable.

The rest of the top ten

FIFA 15 might have been launched in September 2015, but the football simulation from EA Sports continues to perform well and gains one position to reach fourth.

The studio has been delivering new content for the Ultimate Team mode, which has become a favorite for those who like the multiplayer side of the experience.

Far Cry 4, the open world shooter from Ubisoft, is also making a comeback and has managed to return to fifth coming from eight.

In sixth, gamers will find Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, from Sledgehammer Games and Activision, which has also managed to gain one place.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is in seventh and shows how important next-gen packages can be for old franchises.

In eighth place, Namco Bandai will be pleased to find the Scholar of the First Sin release for Dark Souls 2.

Dying Light has dropped three positions to reach ninth, coming from sixth, still punching above its weight.

The United Kingdom top ten is closed down by Destiny, the social shooter from Bungie that will soon get the new update 1.1.2.
