More changes might come after the shooter is out

Two full testing periods ran for Battlefield Hardline during its development process and the most recent one was open to all interested players, which prompted some fans to comment that its purpose was mostly to show off the game mechanics rather than to actually gather any important data about how its core mechanics work.

Now, the development team at Visceral Games is ready to show what changes it has chosen to implement in its first-person shooter before it launches based on the feedback that was delivered by gamers earlier this year.

Thad Sasser, the lead multiplayer designer working on Battlefield Hardline, explains on the official site that "We used all of the data points from feedback, collected statistics, and patch-specific responses to help us determine what to change for the shipping game."

The full list of tuning changes that are being made can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

When it comes to weapons included in Battlefield Hardline, gamers will see some damage reductions and more recoil for some guns, while overall rank progression has been slowed down by 50 percent and Battlepacks now cost more in-game cash.

Sasser says that at the moment there are no plans for a day one patch for the shooter and that more tweaks will be made once all those who have bought the game get their hands on it.

Battlefield Hardline needs a solid launch to convince the community

The game is created by a team new to the series, Visceral Games, and moves away from the classic military theme of the franchise, which has prompted a lot of fans to be critical even before they got to see the title in action.

This year's beta has managed to attract a lot of positive feedback, but the development team and publisher Electronic Arts need to make sure that the multiplayer is solid when launch rolls around on March 17 in the United States and March 19 in Europe.

Rapid patch delivery will also be one of the most important things to make Battlefield Hardline a long-term success.

The game is also set to get a Premium service, which will offer early access to all four downloadable content packs planned and to other exclusive perks.
