14 DAY TRIAL // The Battlefield Hardline second beta stage released last week across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One has been extended for a bit more time, as it now ends on Monday night, February 9, in the Pacific Time Zone.
Battlefield Hardline is the next big installment in the first-person shooter series published by Electronic Arts, but unlike previous titles made by DICE, the new one is coming from developer Visceral Games and takes quite a lot of liberties with the core recipe. From the new focus on cops vs. criminals to tighter maps centered on urban locations, Hardline certainly innovate in the series.
In order to make sure that its new elements delight players, EA and Visceral rolled out a Battlefield Hardline beta last summer across PC and PS4, and last week a second beta stage took place across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
The latest beta has been extended for a few more hours
The new beta was supposed to end yesterday, February 8, but Visceral and EA reveal on the official website that the test phase has been extended for a bit more.
According to the companies, the Hardline is going to conclude on Monday, February 9, in the evening for the Pacific Time Zone. No exact hour was given, so it's unclear just when exactly the beta will conclude.
Over six million players have participated
Besides sharing the news about the extension, Visceral's Steve Papoutsis also thanked fans for their loyalty during the test phase, confirming that over six million people had joined in on the fun.
"There’s been a ton of action through the weekend on the Battlefield Hardline beta and we’re thrilled that now more than six million of you have gotten your hands on the game. We appreciate the response and feedback we have gotten from you in the forums, on social media and while playing with you online," he said.
Battlefield Hardline is set to make its debut on March 17, across PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
