The development team at DICE says that the Battlescreen feature that's included in Battlelog 2.0 for Battlefield 4 will not be offered on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft.

Jesper Nielsen, an assistant producer working on the multiplayer side of the experience, is quoted by Joystiq as saying that, "Battlelog is powered by the web, and that has a lot of implications. There are a lot of different things you can do, things you can do faster, rather than building stuff in native code."

Battlescreen is designed to allow those playing on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC to assess their entire situation at a glance on a tablet or a mobile phone.

The game experience allows players to connect with their friends in more ways than its predecessor. DICE wants to make sure that players can tweak loadouts and plan operations on mobiles and tablets whenever they have the time to do so.

Battlefield 4 will be launched on October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe on the PC and current-gen consoles.
