Lars Gustavsson, the creative director working on DICE, is confirming that his team has no plans to launch a Nintendo Wii U version of the upcoming Battlefield 4 first-person shooter.

He tells VideoGamer that, “I think overall for me as creative director, number one is to deliver a really great game and experience.”

Apparently, the main concern of the developers is to make sure that they play to their strength and create a shooter experience that’s solid and does not try to cover too many platforms.

He adds, “I’d rather play it safe, deliver something really good and then look at the future and what could possibly be done than trying a bit too hard.”

Battlefield 4 is confirmed as arriving late during the year and while Electronic Arts has not confirmed the platform, the game will probably be offered on the PC, current and next-gen consoles.
