Electronic Arts has confirmed that the Xbox One's Kinect sensor will be used by Battlefield 4 for a variety of things, from leaning and peeking around corners, to voice commands and much more.

Battlefield 4 was released last week onto the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms, and is set to debut this month onto next-gen consoles – the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Now, according to Polygon, EA and DICE have confirmed that the new first-person shooter will employ the next-gen Kinect sensor on the Xbox One.

The Kinect will detect when a player wants to lean and peek around corners and replicate the movement in the game.

The sensor's microphone will also be able to detect requests for a medic, ammo, or a vehicle and replicate them inside the game.

No other details have been offered about supported commands, so expect to hear a bit more as we get closer to the release of the console and game.
