Gamers need to put in as much time as possible

The development team at DICE is announcing that it is ready to perform the final testing process for the upcoming Spring Patch for Battlefield 4 tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14, with gamers able to take part as long as they are ready to spend some time on the official Community Test Environment servers.

The studio says that those who are engaged with the older first-person shooter should try to play as much as possible in order to create relevant data that can be used to perform some final tweaks for the new patch.

On Thursday, the availability of the servers for Battlefield 4 will be limited and gamers will be able to play with DICE starting at 11 AM Pacific Daylight Time, which is the equivalent of 18 PM Greenwich Mean Time.

The company states, "Join us playing for 2 hours trying to fill 4x64 slots on a European server. We will answer questions, play and discuss battlefield with you! There will also be prizes in the form of Battlefield 4 t-shirts and mousepads up for grabs for randomly chosen attendees! (more info to follow about that)"

So far, the team has not offered a full look at the list of changes that it is planning to make to Battlefield 4, and the Spring Update does not currently have an official delivery date.

The shooter is also getting a free community map and more weapons

The Spring Update is based on the ideas that the fan community has been offering in the past few months and will include a thorough rebalancing effort for the weapons included in the game.

Progress has also been steady on the new community-driven map, which is close to being complete and will be offered for free as soon as the patch is deployed.

A set of five new weapons for Battlefield 4 is also coming, probably only for those who are willing to pay for them.

The older shooter continues to have a solid player base despite the launch of the new Hardline, and DICE seems committed to offering support during the coming months.

The studio is also working on Star Wars Battlefront at this moment, which is supposed to be launched on November 17 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
