The development team at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that they are planning to once again restart the servers for Battlefield 4, at 1 AM Pacific Standard Time or 9 AM Greenwich Time, and that multiplayer games might be affected.

The information comes from the official Twitter feed of the series and it’s unclear for how long the modes will be disrupted or what changes the development team is planning to introduce during the downtime.

Restarts have become somewhat of a tradition for the first-person shooter during the last few weeks.

At the moment, the team at DICE is working on a big September update for Battlefield 4, which is supposed to make fundamental changes to some core mechanics while also significantly improving the balance of the included weapons.

Gamers can currently offer their feedback on the official test environment.

A final piece of downloadable content for the title is supposed to be launched before the end of the year and will bring new maps and game modes.

Visceral Games is at the moment working on Battlefield Hardline, which is expected to be launched on the PC, the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and last-gen consoles in early 2015.
