The first community mission starts on January 21

Battlefield fans have been waiting for quite some time for developer DICE to announce the new season for the Battlefield 4 game, which will bring lots of goodies to players.

With less than 2 months left until the release of Battlefield Hardline in North America and Europe and the upcoming beta, DICE have decided to celebrate by offering weekly treats that contain not only the usual Battlefield 4 stuff, but also some with Hardline flair.

According to the developer, every Wednesday starting today and until March 17, the day that Battlefield Hardline is expected to arrive in North America, Battlefield 4 players will be offered Gold Battlepacks, Community Missions, Hardline-themed Dog Tags, Exclusive wallpaper and many more.

In fact, the first community mission will start on January 21, and if completed, then players will receive access to the Heist mode in the Battlefield Hardline beta.

What's the mission? It's very simple, manage to score 2 Billion points in Battlefield 4 Rush mode and the Heist mode will be unlocked in the Battlefield Hardline beta.

Keep in mind though that the community mission will run between January 21, 9am PST and January 24, 11:59pm PST.

New goodies will be dished out every Wednesday until March

Three more community missions will be available to Battlefield 4 players in the next months, but they will have different rewards.

For example, the second community mission which is supposed to run from February 18 to February 24 will reward players with Gold Battlepacks.

Two wallpapers, Cops and Criminal, will be available for download from February 4 (until February 28) and March 11 (until March 31), respectively. EA also announced the digital dog tags for Battlefield Hardline beta participation will be entitled during next Battlefield 4 patch update.

Several days with double XP will be offered as well, from January 28 through January 28 and from February 11 through February 12.
