14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at DICE has already said that it is planning to introduce a new major Spring Update for Battlefield 4, coming at some point in April or May, and now the company might have revealed all the weapons that it will introduce in the Weapon Crate which will be part of it.
The information comes from the Reddit of the game and from a user who has managed to get images of them after the studio added them to the Community Test Environment in the most recent client update.
The five weapons are not yet completely texturized, which might mean that there are plans to change their look before they are officially introduced in Battlefield 4.
The list of additions includes: GROZA-1 carbine, AN-94 assault rifle, GROZA-4 PDW, L86A2 LMG, and Mare’s Leg side weapon.
The list seems designed to introduce a range of options for all those who are playing Battlefield 4 and want guns that they can use quickly in order to take out their opposition.
DICE has not yet offered a clear list of all the changes that it will make to the shooter in the big coming update.
Battlefield 4 is also getting a community-created map
The development team is at the moment also running a process that will result in the creation of an entirely new map based on the choices made by the player community, who is invited to vote on the core features before the studio uses the info to actually design it.
Both the update and the map are designed to keep interest in Battlefield 4 high and to make sure that no player feels like they should drop the game in order to get involved with the newer Hardline.
It's unclear for how long the team at DICE aims to support its older title, especially given that it is focusing most of its resources on the development of Star Wars: Battlefront, an entirely new title that will be introduced in the fall of this year.
An official trailer will be delivered during the coming Star Wars Celebration event, during a panel starting at 10:30 AM Pacific Time on April 17.
