DICE has confirmed that it's temporarily disabled the Battlefield 4 Commander mode on the PlayStation 4 next-gen console in order to increase the game's stability, as apparently the special experience is causing plenty of online problems.

Battlefield 4 for the PS4 came out last week and quickly attracted many owners of Sony's next-gen console.

Unfortunately for them, the game has many issues on the PS4, especially when it comes to the multiplayer mode.

After rolling out a fresh PS4 update, DICE has confirmed on Battlelog that it's temporarily disabling the Commander mode in the Battlefield 4 online experience in order to increase network stability.

"One reason to some of the crashes we have been seeing on PS4 is tied to Commander Mode, so we have chosen to disable Commander Mode on PS4 for now while working on a fix for the root cause of this issue. This will increase network stability while we are fixing the issue. Stay tuned for more updates," the studio said.

As such, until things are fixed, the long awaited Commander mode in Battlefield 4 won't be available on PS4.
