Battlefield 4 developer DICE is getting ready to debut the Naval Strike map pack next week for Battlefield 4 Premium owners and the studio has just offered comprehensive details about each of the four levels included in the expansion.

Battlefield 4 came out back in November for a variety of platforms but, while its first-person shooter experience was quite good, it generated a big controversy thanks to its many glitches, problems, and issues.

Developer DICE released quite a lot of different updates and patches but some problems persist, including some big exploits.

Even so, the studio is now putting the finishing touches on Naval Strike, the next big DLC pack for Battlefield 4, which brings forth four all-new levels centered around, like the name implies, naval warfare.

Details about each map have just appeared on the Battlefield blog, so read on below to find out just what new things are included in each of the four levels.

First up, there's Lost Islands, a new map featuring a crashed airplane in the center of the map and a few smaller islands surrounding it. The level can be traversed using quadbikes, for example, but you can easily travel across it using the all-new hovercraft that's also included in the Naval Strike DLC. Players can blow open the plane for much-needed cover and there are quite a few secrets on the smaller islands.

Secondly, there Nansha Strike, which focuses a lot on boats with quite a few different bases surrounding a central area that can support infantry warfare. Those big bases should be a priority for all teams, as there the most powerful vehicles will be spawned by the game.

Wave Breaker is also included in the DLC, containing a unique submarine base hidden in the middle mountain, perfect for close quarter combat. Wide open canals fit for more naval vehicles are also included. Levolution opportunities are quite frequent, as players can bring down submarines from their supports, turn off the lights in the corridors, or closing flood gates and blocking off some of the main avenues into the base.

Last but not least there's Operation Mortar, which takes a gorgeous tropical island resort and turns it into a war zone. There's is an old fort on top of the map's mountain, which provides a great overview but also makes you a prime target. This map also features a great experience in Rush mode, as players start on the bottom islands and are tasked with getting to the fort.

Battlefield 4's Naval Strike DLC is certainly looking very good so stay tuned for its release next week, on March 25, for Premium owners.
