Battlefield 4 is set to receive a new patch on the PC platform in the following hours, and developer DICE confirmed that multiplayer outages and offline periods were possible because of the rollout.

Battlefield 4 came out back in October for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and in November for the PS4 and Xbox One next-gen platforms.

Unfortunately for owners of the game, there were plenty of bugs and glitches on all platforms that affected both the single-player campaign and the multiplayer mode.

Developer DICE has kept on releasing new patches and now a fresh update is set to begin rolling out onto the PC platform in just a few minutes, starting at 1am PT or 10am UTC.

The studio confirmed on Battlelog that multiplayer disconnects, outages, and offline periods were possible because of the update's release, so don't worry if your online match times out in the following hours.
