John Riccitiello, the former chief executive officer of Electronic Arts, believes that the upcoming Battlefield 4 from his ex-company is a better experience than the rival Call of Duty: Ghosts from Activision.

He tells GamesIndustry.biz that, "What’s been fascinating watching Activision over the last few years is that I’ve heard that mentioned before, about them not being the company they could or should be."

He adds, "The one thing I know most about now is Battlefield and CoD and I feel pretty confident that EA’s got better cards."

Battlefield 4 will be available starting on October 29 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be launched on November 5 on the same platforms.

Both shooters will also get versions for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
