Battlefield developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have announced that the Battlefield servers will be once again restarted for all platforms, later today, at 9:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time, which translates into 2:00 AM Pacific Time and 11:00 Central European Time.

The news comes from a tweet posted on the franchise's official Twitter account, informing the game's players that multiplayer services might be affected for a short duration by the event, although gamers should be able to get back to their favorite pastime shortly.

Many voices in the Battlefield 4 community are expressing their worries regarding the quickening pace at which the first-person shooter's server restarts seem to be occurring, especially in view of the fact that developer DICE isn't offering any conclusive information regarding what's going on.

DICE is currently working on the final installment in the downloadable content series for Battlefield 4, set to come out later this year.

The dev has promised that a massive update is on its way to the Battlefield 4 client, due out sometime in September, and meant to introduce some balance tweaks to the gameplay as well as to improve the stability of the title.

The company's spin-off title, Battlefield Hardline, in development at Visceral Games, is coming out in early 2015, putting a new spin on the consecrated Battlefield gameplay experience.
