Battlefield 4 has just received two brand new updates on the PC and Xbox One platforms, bringing solutions to quite a few new problems, including the sound loop crash on PC or the spawn crash on Microsoft's console.

Battlefield 4 has been plagued by many different issues and glitches ever since it appeared last year in November across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Even if developer DICE released plenty of different updates and patches since then, there are still some serious problems encountered by various players on all platforms.

After rolling out a fresh patch for the PS3 and PS4 over the weekend, the Swedish studio is now offering two new updates, this time for the PC and Xbox One editions of Battlefield 4.

First up, there's the PC update that finally fixes the sound loop crash that was spotted by players last week. There are also fixes for issues that prevented players from shooting while in the gunner position of a vehicle, not to mention various performance improvements. The Mantle API support has also received a bit of love and care, with new bug fixes being added to it.

Feb 25 PC Game update notes

-Fix for the so called “sound loop crash” issue that caused the game to freeze -Fix for an issue that sometimes prevented players from shooting while in the gunner position of a vehicle -Fix for the headshot icon appearing incorrectly at non-headshot deaths, such as suicide or dying of an explosion -General stability improvements Mantle -General stability and performance improvements -Fix for an issue that caused the sky/fog to be either too bright or too dark when Mantle was used -Added on-screen video memory utilization statistics with “Render.DrawScreenInfo”

The Xbox One Battlefield 4 update is much bigger but brings most of the same improvements that have already appeared on the PS3 and PS4, for example. They include a solution for the crash that happened when players spawned in the gunner seats of an IFV or MBT, but also plenty of other bug fixes that tackle many glitches reported by owners of the game.

Missing visual effects, such as grass physics or invisible walls, have also been corrected by the new update.
