The Battlefield 4 beta phase is in full swing for a limited number of players and DICE has compiled a list of bugs linked to the shooter that the community has reported and which are currently being fixed.

The most serious issue with the game is on the PC where a number of players have been reporting crashes and freezes, while another segment of gamers who are saying that they have low game performance even on powerful machines.

DICE states, “If you are affected by a Freeze or a Crash upon joining a game, and the error message ‘BF4 Beta has stopped working’ appears, please make sure your Windows is fully updated and your Graphic card is running on its latest driver. Alternatively, some players using GeForce drivers were able to fix this by downgrading their driver to an earlier version.”

The official forums of Battlefield 4 also list a number of problems linked to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, but they seem to be less severe.

DICE says that it is investigating all reports from players in order to fix the issues via an upcoming patch for the beta.

On October 4, the Battlefield 4 testing phase will be opened up for all players that are interested in the first-person shooter.

The list of bugs will surely continue to grow because the purpose of the entire beta stage is to stress both the infrastructure and the mechanics of the game in order to make sure that the launch version is the best it can be.

Battlefield 4 will be out on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 on October 29 in the United States and on November 1 in Europe.

Versions of the game are also being prepared for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 and Electronic Arts has already detailed a simple update plan.
