Battlefield 4 has just received a new round of leaked details, this time from a survey that shares quite a lot of info about the game's mechanics and its DLC.

There's also info on the fact that it will feature naval warfare and it might receive a few interesting microtransactions.

Battlefield 4 was revealed to the world back in March and, since then, both Electronic Arts and DICE have been relatively silent on the matter, posting just a few statements in the last weeks.

Now, a survey apparently sent out by EA to Battlefield 3 owners has appeared online, via Reddit.

Fresh data is offered to those who respond, from a description of the game, to details about its mechanics, microtransactions, and its possible downloadable content packs.

First up, check out the description below.

"Battlefield 4 is the genre-defining action blockbuster made from moments that blur the line between game and glory. Fueled by the next-generation power and fidelity of Frostbite 3, Battlefield 4 provides a visceral, dramatic experience unlike any other."

"Only in Battlefield can you demolish the buildings shielding your enemy. Only in Battlefield will you lead an assault from the back of a gun boat. Battlefield grants you the freedom to do more and be more while playing to your strengths and carving your own path to victory."

The survey also offers info about the single-player campaign, which starts with the evacuation of American VIPs form Shanghai.

Details are also offered about items called Battlepacks, which include bonus XP boosts, knives and weapon achievements, as well as customization options like camos, weapon skins, or dog tags. These will be offered as rewards but it's likely that they can also be purchased via microtransactions.

Battlefield 4 DLC is also teased by the survey, as apparently the game will feature naval combat and future add-ons will bring new options like harpoons. Other DLC packs are also going to emphasize prototype weapons or melee items like katanas.

As of yet, neither EA nor DICE have commented on the leaked survey, so take it with a grain of salt.
