The development team at DICE is launching a trailer for Battlefield 4, which is aimed directly at the crowds heading for the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, featuring a gamer that has managed to play more than 8,000 hours of the game at the age of 74.

The German player is held up as an example that the experiences created by the first-person shooter can appeal to a wide variety of players.

Recently, DICE has also delivered a number of videos that focus on the various experiences that fans can have when spending time with the multiplayer side of Battlefield 4.

The studio is at the moment also offering more information on the way classes in the game will differ when playing as the Americans, the Russians and the Chinese.

Battlefield 4 is set to arrive on the PC, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 on October 29 in the United States and three days later in Europe.

Versions for the Xbox One and the PS4 are also in development.
