DICE and Electronic Arts are getting ready to roll out a new expansion for Battlefield 4, in the form of the Dragon's Teeth add-on, and a fresh set of details and features has just been revealed.

Battlefield 4 came out last fall and, in recent weeks, the next installment of the series, Battlefield Hardline, has been hogging the spotlight, what with impressive gameplay demonstrations at E3 2014 and an open beta stage on PC and PS4.

Still, DICE is loyal to Battlefield 4 and is currently preparing a brand new DLC pack, in the form of Dragon's Teeth.

While the expansion received some scarce details a few weeks ago, now a full-fledged description of its maps, features, and items has been revealed.

First up, the studio unveiled a few pieces of information about the four maps in Dragon's Teeth, called Sunken Dragon, Lumphini Garden, Pearl Market, and Propaganda, which should all offer some intense urban environments filled with varied combat opportunities.

"Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth drops you into urban combat across Asian cities in four all-new multiplayer maps. Wreak havoc in a floating restaurant or drain the lake opening up for a frontal vehicle assault, all while the battle rages between the modern high rises of Sunken Dragon."

"Fight among the huge monuments of despots in the grey concrete Propaganda. Wage wars within the bustling alleyways and upon the rooftops of Pearl Market. Cruise with fast-moving PWC's on the canals in the pristine park to get the upper hand in the blazing infantry battle of Lumphini Garden."

Besides these four new maps, the Dragon's Teeth expansion also features a variety of other items, including five all-new weapons, not to mention the special Ballistic shield, a new RAWR vehicle, a special Chain Link game mode, and 10 assignments to complete in this game type.

"Battlefield 4 Dragon's Teeth also includes five new weapons, the Ballistic shield, the controllable unmanned ground vehicle R.A.W.R., ten assignments and the new game mode Chain Link, where you create chains by linking together capture points to win the battle."

Unfortunately, DICE didn't offer an actual release schedule for Dragon's Teeth, so it's unclear when Battlefield 4 players can expect to play it. As of right now it still has the "summer 2014" launch period.

Even so, based on previous DLC packs, you can expect the add-on to go live first for Battlefield 4 Premium owners and after a few weeks for regular players of the game across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.
