The development team at DICE says that it is currently investigating a new problem that the community has discovered in Battlefield 4, called the Death Shield bug, which can allow a soldier that's disabled but can still be revived to stop bullets and even larger projectiles.

The new problem is linked to the physics system of the first-person shooter and the way it uses defibrillators to give shot players a chance to revive their fallen comrades as long as they move very fast.

A Quality Assurance leader at DICE says on Twitter that his team is currently exploring ways to fix the Death Shield problem and that a patch or a hotfix will be used to eliminate the issue as fast as possible.

The studio is working to make sure that Battlefield 4 stays competitive in the long term by eliminating any problems as fast as the community is reporting them.

DICE is also currently working on the final two pieces of downloadable content for the shooter, which should be launched in the coming months.

The company has also revealed that another team is already working on the next title in the series, which some rumors suggest will be linked to the Bad Company series.
