Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are announcing that the final week of the Battlefest event is set to give fans of the first person shooter more opportunities than ever to get access to swag, win Battlepacks and win a special graphics card.

The two companies have already launched a double experience weekend that allows all characters to gain levels faster and improve their overall performance in the title and a free Camo is offered to all those who want to customize their appearance.

The official announcement on the Battelfield blog states, "In the final stretch, we wrap up the daily Battleshots contests with several more chances to win an XFX AMD Radeon R9 270X graphics card, a weekend long 2XP event for all players to rank up in, and sharing the results of the fourth Community Mission."

The Stunt Video competition is also ready to wrap up and all three players who manage to get the most votes will be able to take home a powerful gaming PC created by AMD>

DICE adds, "Finally, as we bring Battlefest to an end, we’ve opened up Battlefield 4 for new players to play for free for a limited time in the latest Origin Game Time feature. So, grab a buddy and get them onto the Battlefield – send them here for more details."

The game can be played on the PC for 168 hours, which is enough time to complete the single player campaign and at least get familiar with the multiplayer component.

At the same time the developers are continuing to work with the fans in the Community Test Environment in order to determine how to best improve the game over the coming months and a new set of features focused on teamplay is set to be introduced soon.

The team is already putting the finishing touches on a major update for Battlefield 4 that is set to be offered on all platforms at some point during September, with changes to a lot of game modes, balance tweaks to the weapons and a re-design of the revive system.

DICE is also continuing to work on Battlefield Hardline, the new installment in the series that has been pushed into 2015, using data from the official beta to make sure that the experience is balanced when it launches and that it does not have any of the problems that the current title had on release.
