Electronic Arts has confirmed that even more people have purchased its Battlefield 3 Premium downloadable content bundle for Battlefield 3, saying that over 1.3 million units have been sold across the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Battlefield 3 came out last year and its multiplayer mode has proven to be a huge success, especially after the release of the recent Close Quarters expansion back in June.

Alongside the DLC, EA also released a special bundle called Battlefield Premium, which includes early access to all upcoming expansions, as well as existing ones, not to mention plenty of bonus content.

The bundle, while priced a bit high at $50/€50, has attracted quite a lot of people and, after confirming that over 800,000 customers bought it last month, EA has updated the sales figure and revealed that over 1.3 million people bought the DLC.

Given the success of the bundle, it’s quite likely that the same strategy will be applied to other EA properties, even if the company has yet to admit this.
