DICE has finally confirmed the release dates for the Battlefield 3: Armored Kill expansion, as well as the fact that a massive patch is going live today, September 4, on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms.

Battlefield 3 came out last year and, thanks to its addictive multiplayer experience, millions of players are still enjoying the first-person shooter.

In that time, developer DICE has also released two expansions for the game, in the form of Back to Karkand and Close Quarters, as well as a special Battlefield Premium bundle that includes a variety of bonuses, as well as free access to all the different add-ons that will appear for the game, like the upcoming Armored Kill DLC.

Now, after releasing plenty of details about the new expansion, which focuses on tanks and brings several huge maps, DICE has officially confirmed when the add-on will be launched for various platforms and types of users.

For PS3 owners who have Battlefield Premium, Armored Kill is out on September 4. Regular owners of BF3 on PS3 get it on September 18.

PC and Xbox 360 users who have Premium access get Armored Kill on September 11, while those without that benefit get it on September 25.

What’s more, today, September 4, a major patch for Battlefield 3 is being rolled out across all of the game’s platforms.

The update is designed to fix a variety of problems and prevent any errors that might appear when those with the Armored Kill DLC play against people who’ve yet to purchase it.
