The upcoming End Game expansion for Battlefield 3 will bring back not just the classic Capture the Flag mode but also, according to a new leak, the Air Superiority one.

Battlefield 3 came out more than a year ago and developer DICE has since kept things interesting by releasing multiple add-ons that not only brought new maps for the different multiplayer modes, but also new vehicles, weapons, assignments, and plenty of other things.

In the upcoming and final expansion, End Game, Battlefield 3 is set to receive new maps, three new vehicles, including the dirt bikes, as well as the Capture the Flag mode.

Now, thanks to a special email sent to Battlefield Premium members, via NeoGAF, DICE has apparently confirmed that End Game will also include another classic mode – Air Superiority.

The new description mentions not only the previously confirmed contents, but also the new mode, so check it out below.

"Battlefield 3: End Game delivers some of the most high-speed warfare to date across four vast maps. Race through enemy lines using the new dirt bike, bringing speed and agility to the Battlefield, or fight back aerial assaults with new lightweight AA vehicles. Coordinate lightning fast attacks and defenses in the return of the classic Capture the Flag game mode, or engage in massive dog fights in Air Superiority. In the skies, the new dropship introduces the ability to turn the tide with rapid deployment air drops of troop transports."

Besides the promise of massive dog fights, it's unclear just how the Air Superiority mode, first seen in Battlefield 1942, will appear in Battlefield 3.

As of yet, DICE hasn't released a statement concerning the new gameplay mode and the official public page for the End Game expansion doesn't mention anything about Air Superiority, so expect to hear something official soon enough.
