The lead designer of Battlefield 3 Armored Kill expansion, Gustav Halling, has also criticized the Nintendo Wii U's hardware performances, claiming that a lot of his fellow game developers have emphasized that its CPU is underpowered.

Nintendo has just released the Wii U last week and is currently getting ready to debut it in Europe and the rest of the world in the following weeks.

After Metro: Last List developer criticized the platform's CPU, Battlefield 3 dev Gustav Halling also emphasized the underpowered hardware backing the Wii U.

"This is also what I been hearing within the industry, too bad since it will shorten its life a lot when new gen starts," he wrote on Twitter, in regards to the critics to the Wii U's CPU.

According to Halling, the platform has a pretty good GPU and lots of RAM, but a powerful CPU is crucial in games.

"GPU and RAM is nice to have shaders/textures loaded. Physics and gameplay run on CPU mostly so player count is affected etc.," he added.

As of yet, however, quite a few third-party games that have already appeared on other platforms have been released for the Wii U and their performances aren't that bad.
