Battlelog errors are preventing users to play with the new DLC

Right after Battlefield 3 PC owners got the Back to Karkand add-on for their game, a series of errors have begun affecting the Battlelog online service, with some users being asked to once again purchase the DLC or being disconnected because they have “missing content” from the game.

Battlefield 3 was released back in October and, since then, millions of gamers have enjoyed it across the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

In the last couple of weeks, DICE, its developer, released the Back to Karkand downloadable map pack, which brought new levels for the multiplayer mode, as well as new weapons, vehicles and achievements.

Sadly, its launch wasn’t without problems, as PlayStation 3 owners who got the add-on early were met with matchmaking errors, and now PC owners are also facing their own issues while trying to play online on the new maps.

According to a massive forum thread on the Battlefield 3 forums, two distinct errors are met by the game’s owners who got the Back to Karkand DLC, one saying that they don’t actually have the add-on, while the other warns them that they have missing content.

An Electronic Arts representative posted a message saying that it has acknowledged the following problems:

1.Battlelog does not recognize Back to Karkand: Battlelog may instruct you to "Buy Back to Karkand Now" even when you already own the expansion pack. This issue will prevent you from joining any Back to Karkand servers.

2.Battlelog acknowledges that you have Back to Karkand, but game servers don't: You will receive a "Missing Content" error message and will not be able to join Back to Karkand servers. The rep said that the developer team is “aware of these issues and working hard to fix them,” although concrete information has yet to appear about when these problems will be solved.

Did you encounter any issues while trying to play Battlefield 3’s Back to Karkand DLC or did you have a trouble-free experience?
