BattleTanx: Global Assault Hints and Glitches (PSX)

BATTLE TANX: Global Assault is an action-packed tank battle game that takes place in the near future. You will be fighting in many recognizable cities such as Washington, Paris, London, and Berlin. To add to the realism you can completely destroy your surroundings, blow up buildings, cars, street lamps, and pretty much everything else. The pyrotechnics used in the game are very innovative, with stunning explosions that will send shrapnel raining down from the heavens after you destroy a building.

You will also have 12 different tanks to choose from such as a Hover Tank that glides above the terrain, a special light tank with Gatling guns, an agile tank that flips from side to side, and a virtually indestructible Rhino tank. To go along with your tanks, you will have a wide array of weapons to choose from: guided missiles, flame throwers, lasers, swarmer missiles, mines, gun emplacements, cloaking, radar, turbo booster, and nuclear weapons. Add to that 24 challenging levels and intelligent AI and you've got yourself a game for the masses.

GAMEPLAY HINTS

Multi-player weapons power-up:
Collect three power-ups of an item, and the item will become more powerful.

Swarmers: Fire non-stop.
Lasers: Shoot a blast that bounces off and destroys objects.
Grenades: Large explosion.
Bouncing Bettes: Shoot out the top of your tank.
Plasma Bolts: Fire non-stop.
Mines: Create huge mine field.
Gun Buddies: Many random turrets
Nukes: Can kill you underground.
Guided Missile: Larger, stronger, but slower missile.
Health and Turbo: No increased effect.

Defeating enemies quickly:
Use this trick when attacking a strong enemy, wall, ect. Choose a tank that shoots one shot at a time (M1 A1, Goliath, etc.). Get some Swarmers and fire your main weapon and the Swarmers at the same time. Make sure to be at close range so all the Swarmers hit the enemy. This is a very helpful when killing a enemy very fast. It is also effective for killing Goliath and going through walls quickly.

Defeating Rhinos:
To defeat Rhinos faster, use the tank Inferno and keep using the flamethrower.

GLITCHES

Leave level boundary:
In the truck stop level, play as a Motortank or Hover Tank. Get some turbo boosters and go to the trailer yard. Find the hump next to the breakable door and face towards the building. Destroy the building first. Then, use your turbo and try to fly off the other hump near where you started from. You should get out of bounds. Note: This may cause the game to freeze.
