Battlestations: Midway 1.0.3 Available – Download Multiplayer Demo Here

Feral Interactive has released a new version of its WWII-based title, Battlestations: Midway. Version 1.0.3 improves networking reliability and fixes two bugs that users reported as being able to crash the game. Battlestations: Midway is a blend of action and strategy, requiring gamers to engage in air, land, sea, and underwater fights. Read on for the changes in version 1.0.3.

In the game, players step up to the controls of the war machines whilst commanding the entire fleet, offline or online, in huge, multi-unit battles with up to 8 players. According to Feral, up to 100 Warships, Aircraft, and Subs face off over the Mac multiplayer gaming service that GameRanger is. Developed by Eidos Studios Hungary, Battlestations: Midway features memorable battles, from Pearl Harbor to the Battle of Midway itself.

The new version, just announced by Feral, fixes a random crash on start in Mac OS X 10.4, and resolves an issue of the same nature in Leopard (version 10.5.5) when playing with ATi HD series cards. Improvements to networking reliability round up the list of changes included with the 1.0.3 release.
