Video game publisher Ubisoft is registering trademarks for Battle of Heroes and Battle of Heroes: Land of Immortals, suggesting that it might be working on a new Multiplayer Online Battle Arena experience that could be based on one of its core franchises.

The two trademarks have been spotted by Fusible at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, but the company has not offered any clear details on what kind of mechanics they might use.

The filings themselves state that they will be used for “Entertainment services namely providing an on-line computer game for others over global and local area computer networks and providing information on-line relating to computer games and video games.”

The name does suggest that the classic Heroes series might be used in some way or another.

Many publishers are searching through their classic catalogs in order to find game universes that can support a MOBA experience.
