The development team at Blizzard has been working on a new Battle.net Desktop Client that’s designed to replace the normal launchers for all its video games and it seems that the company is ready to offer details on it.

MMO Champion has a number of images taken from an advanced testing phase for the new program, which will allow gamers to update their titles in the backgrounds, repair installs, manage files and identities.

A chat function will allow players to talk with any friend who also has a Battle.net enabled video game.

A news system is designed to keep Blizzard fans up to date with information about upcoming titles, patch releases and more.

It seems that the Batlle.net Desktop Client will also introduce new features to profile management and will come complete with a full store.
