Today, we have some exciting inside scoop about the upcoming Warner Bros. movie “Suicide Squad,” which will be out in 2016 and is based on the DC Comics series grouping some of the biggest villains in one team, working for the government to save the world.

El Mayimbe of Latino-Review claims to have it on very good authority that Batman will also appear in the film, and more importantly, that he will be the big baddie the group goes up against.

He doesn’t say whether he will be played by Ben Affleck, who takes on the role for the first time in “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” but since the plan seems to be to make “Suicide Squad” a part of the Justice League universe, it’s only logical for this to happen.

“Prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that's why he's so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all ‘the supers’,” El Mayimbe says.

The amount of details in the description above makes me think he either saw footage or a script from “Suicide Squad,” so he’s probably not trying to blow smoke in our face.

By making a spinoff with just the villains, Warners would be on track to expanding their comic book cinematographic universe and deliver a rival to Marvel’s Avengers one.

“Suicide Squad” brings back The Joker for the first time since Heath Ledger played it in Chris Nolan’s “Dark Knight” trilogy, with Jared Leto trying on his shoes for a change. Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, and Cara Delevingne are also attached, with David Ayer at the helm.

“Dawn of Justice” will see Affleck do Batman for the first time, while Henry Cavill resumes his role as Superman. Zack Snyder directs, hot on the heels of the Superman reboot, “Man of Steel.”

Details about THE GOD DAMN #BATMAN in #SUICIDESQUAD! #SPOILER #WARNING According to sources, in the film Batman is some sort of big boogeyman that the government REALLY hates. Get this, prior to the events in #BatmanvSuperman, THE JOKER is the only one to really ever meet him or know him and that's why he's so important to Amanda Waller. They have footage of Batman in action which they watch. There is a bit of dialogue where they say Batman is the key to tracking down all "the supers."
