Warner Bros. is expected to detail the highly anticipated film at the San Diego event

Word got out online last month that Warner Bros. would be bringing “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” to San Diego Comic-Con 2014, which kicks off on July 24, starting with the first official teaser trailer.

It has now leaked online, as you can see in the video below.

However, before you get too excited about this, a word of caution: this is not an official teaser, it’s a fan-made / fake one. However, it’s made on purpose to look like a leak for the official version, precisely because fans are hoping that it will be released at Comic-Con.

Right now, it is uncertain if Warners is really bringing “Dawn of Justice” to the event.

Many people online still believe that this is a leak of the official version, but don’t be fooled. That voice in the background is actually Michael Shannon as General Zod from “Man of Steel,” so this bit is lifted from his message to humans asking to hand Superman over to him, or face complete destruction.

Zod died in the film, so there would be no point in bringing him back for “Dawn of Justice,” especially if he’s recycling his old lines. Cheap, lazy, General Zod!

Another dead-giveaway is the fact that the teaser claims Warners is distributing the film with Syncopy and Legendary. That is not the case: Dune Entertainment will be handling distribution, after Syncopy dropped it for the rights to Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar.”

Last but not least, that’s Christian Bale in the Batsuit and it’s not difficult to recognize his profile if you’ve seen Nolan’s trilogy. Ben Affleck will be playing the Caped Crusader in this installment.

Even so, as fake as this teaser trailer is, it still deserves some credit for trying.
