Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu is a fighting videogame that was released in 2003 for the PlayStation 2, the Nintendo GameCube and the Xbox gaming consoles. It was developed and published by Ubisoft after it obtained licensing rights for the Batman intellectual property from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and from DC Comics. The game is based on The New Batman Adventures, a television series that was developed following a similarly titled comic strip.

Batman gets a few sidekicks to help him in the game. Old time friend Robin is joined by new addition Batgirl and by the mysterious Nightwing. Sin Tzu also has a group of evildoers backing him up, with The Scarecrow, Clayface and Bane being the most troublesome.

One of the more interesting twists in the game is the way in which the player is rewarded for finishing levels. Apart from advancing in the story mode, the player also gets points that can be used to get more powerful moves for the characters and other bonuses. The single player experience takes place under a time limit that might prove short even for good players. The developers recommend players that are having a hard time finishing single player to consider playing cooperatively with another player, which makes the difficulty of the game more manageable.

Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu also offers a challenge mode in which players can take on groups of villains from within the game without advancing in the story mode. This game mode can be played in cooperative mode, too.

Defeating Scarecrow

Scarecrow is the master of fear and can create a chemical to heighten it. He has very few attacks. You start off in a gas-filled room. You will see ghost-like things flying around. One hit will kill them. Look for Scarecrow, who is invisible, in the section where the gas clears. Beat him up and repeat.

Scarecrow is easy, because he rarely attacks. To start off, look down at the floor. It is covered with some sort of blue gas. The trick to defeating him is as follows: first, avoid or destroy all of the ghosts flying around. Notice how the gas seems to part in certain areas. This is Scarecrow walking. Roll into him. He is invisible, and this lets you see and beat him up. After a while, he turns invisible again. Repeat the steps until he is defeated.
