The other day saw the leak of several batches of photos and videos of the Batmobile chasing after the Jokermobile in Gotham, on the Toronto set of David Ayer’s upcoming “Suicide Squad.” In case you needed even more confirmation that Batman will be making a cameo in the film, it’s here.

The Instagram photo and video, and the Twitter videos below are of Batman riding on top of The Joker’s car, in what is probably a continuation of the scene that was shot the other day.

Obviously, that’s not Ben Affleck in the Batsuit, and chances are that’s not even The Joker’s head you can see through the car’s window. Even if the stunt isn’t very dangerous, in terms of involving crashes and explosions, because the scene is shot at high speed, it’s probably safe to assume those two are stunt doubles.

However, it doesn’t take Affleck’s presence on set to confirm the cameo, since the Batsuit is enough. So yes, Batman will be making a “surprise” appearance in the film, which comes out next August, after Zack Snyder’s “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which will introduce the new Batman.

This way, Warner Bros. gets continuity in the franchise, which is meant to rival Marvel’s Cinematic Universe.

“Suicide Squad” stars Jared Leto, Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
