The development team at Warner Bros. working on Batman: Arkham Origins announces that it is sending out invitations to a select group of players to take part in the multiplayer beta for the game.

The testing period will apparently start on August 7 and will end on the 14th. The Twitter account for the game announced its existence.

The team tells selected players, "Now is your chance to take down your friends as Batman, or for the first time hunt down Batman and Robin as one of Bane or Joker’s elite soldiers."

The multiplayer mode for the title is being handled by Splash Damage and will have no connection with the narrative that Warner Bros. is creating for the single-player section.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be available on the PC, the PlayStation 3, the Wii U from Nintendo and the Xbox 360 on October 25.
