Developer Warner Bros Montreal announces that it will deliver Deathstroke as a playable character in Batman: Arkham Origins via a downloadable content package.

The information comes via a pre-order page for the game from retailer Amazon.

Deathstroke was created in 1980 and was initially a villain in the DC Universe of comic books, although a number of writers then cast him in the anti-hero role.

The new game will keep many of the core elements of the Batman series of video games and will seek to refine a number of combat elements while introducing the protagonist again via an origin story.

Batman: Arkham Origins will be out on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the Wii U from Nintendo on October 25 of this year.
