The development team at Warner Bros. working on Batman: Arkham Origins announces that its next piece of downloadable content for the action title is called Cold, Cold Heart and will be officially launched on the Xbox 360, the PC and the PlayStation 3 on April 22.

The studio says that it will deliver a self-container story that focuses on Mr. Freeze, the Batman villain who, as his name implies, is able to command the elements in order to defeat his enemies.

The announcement does not contain any clear information about the plot of the coming DLC or about any new mechanics that might be introduced, although it reveals that a new gadget can be used by gamers in order to mitigate the effects of cold-based weapons.

Many fans of the most recent Batman title are still unsatisfied by the fact that Warner Bros. has announced that it is no longer working on patches for the title in order to focus on the delivery of DLC.

Rumors are suggesting that at least one more content drop is scheduled for later in the year and that Warner Bros. is planning to announce a new Batman title that is being created by the team at Rocksteady.
