A little boy battling leukemia is about to get his biggest wish come true and turn into his favorite superhero for a day.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation has set up an event for five-year-old Miles, of northern California. The Batman fan will get to become BatKid for a day.

The operation entails several rescues and a setup that will include about 7,000 people. The foundation sent out the call for action but nobody expected so many people to join the cause and help Miles make his dream come true.

His supporters will come to San Francisco for the BatMan event, and the kid will get to rescue a damsel in distress on a cable car, track the Penguin and chase him in Union Square and other fun stuff.

According to Mashable, the event already has a fan base on Facebook and Twitter, and it could be documented by DC Comics in a comic book dedicated to the exploit.
