The developers at Supergiant Games have announced that they have managed to sell more than half a million copies of their action adventure game Bastion, mainly because of the recent sales that took place both on the Xbox Live Arcade service for the Xbox 360 home console and on the Steam digital distribution service for the PC.

The developers stated, “When we set out to make Bastion, a sales number like that seemed astronomical to us, so it feels great to have hit that mark. It goes to show that a lot of folks out there like what we’re doing and want us to keep going, which is great, because we intend to stick together as a team and do just that.”

They also listed a number of media outlets that have highlighted the quality of Bastion, including Entertainment Weekly, CNN, Wired, Paste, NPR, USA Today and the Indie Gaming Awards.
