Cloud security and storage solutions provider Barracuda Networks has launched Barracuda Load Balancer ADC model 540, along with firmware version 5.1.

Barracuda Load Balancer ADC model 540 is designed for organizations that want a secure and affordable midrange ADC platform.

The Barracuda Load Balancer ADC version 5.1 release brings expanded authentication, authorization and accounting capabilities, support for the Barracuda Load Balancer ADC Vx Virtual appliance, and integration with VMWare View.

The features on the new Barracuda Load Balancer ADC model 540 include total throughput of 2 Gbps, four 1GbE ports, and optional application security subscription.

“Building on the momentum of the launch of our new Barracuda Load Balancer ADC in May, we continue to capitalize on opportunities in the data center infrastructure marketplace where customers are looking for robust solutions that are both easy-to-use and affordable,” noted Stephen Pao, GM Security at Barracuda.

“The new 540 model provides cost-conscious organizations with redundant 1 GbE paths, and the new firmware release adds support for key applications that require load balancing.”
