Yesterday we found out Barnes & Nobles is hoping to revitalize its sinking NOOK tablet business by partnering up with Samsung to produce the so-called Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK set of tablets.

Now GigaOM provides us with further insight into this hot tech deal. According to a SEC filing, Barnes & Noble will purchase at least one million tablets from the mighty Korean tech giant. The book giant seems to have high hopes concerning this deal.

More than that, Samsung will throw some cash around to make sure the NOOK-branded tablets get the attention they need.

The first batch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK will be 7-inchers, but according to the SEC information another 10-inch version will also be made available.

Each of these two devices will be sold in either black or white coloring options. The 7-inch version will hit the market first, then sixty days later will see the 10-inch grace the market, as well.

The tablets will most likely get a NOOK branding plus free NOOK software out of the box. And maybe just maybe Samsung will consider throwing in something of goodies too, like extra digital content and subscriptions, but it’s too early to tell.
