iDevice owners enjoying an elegant reading experience with the NOOK application from Barnes & Noble have a new update to install. British English speakers finally have it their way, as do those who speak French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Update 3.3.0 adds new language support for British English, French, Italian, German and Spanish, as well as U.K. NOOK Books and Magazines support.

The app now leverages Apple assistive technology, such as VoiceOver and screen magnification, “to be accessible to blind and low vision users.”

iPhone 5 users will be glad to see that the software displays full-screen now, taking advantage of every pixel on the 4-inch display. Same goes for iPod touch 5G owners.

Users are instructed to sync their book library before upgrading to 3.3. NOOK continues to be compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPad and iPad mini, and requires only iOS 4.3 or later.
