Well, there are also some people who think that such a boring symbol of our modern days can be improved and made to look better, happier and by all means, more humane. While barcodes have been taken for granted ever since they have found a solid place in our society, the solution offered by the aforementioned creators looks fantastic and means true fun. Basically, it's a big idea transposed in a small thing and the trigger was as simple as letting a creative mind find a good visual use for the respective barcodes. And since only a small portion of a barcode is needed for the laser reader to gather sufficient data on a particular code, the rest of the printed surface becomes instantly free and therefore – exploitable from a graphic point of view.

From environmentally-conscious to hilarious designs, the new barcodes will add a different experience to your everyday shopping: imagine yourselves searching for the barcode on a can of beer waiting to see something funny to go with the refreshing beverage.
