Barcelona does not want to risk anything inside the Spanish League. The European champions wanted to make the best of this start of the season and clinched their 3rd win of the season at Santander. And there was really just a walk in the park for Rijkaard's side, since the home side only pressured the Catalans in the first 10 minutes in the game.

Valdes made some important saves for Barcelona and Ronaldinho & Co realized that they'd better get one soon. And the opener came pretty quickly, thanks to some poor defending by Racing's goalie, Tonio. Samuel Eto'o scored his team's first goal after Tonio failed to save a daisy-cutter from the Cameron
striker.

Barcelona started to get full control of the game and Santander didn't stand a chance in the second half. Tonio recovered his form during the game and kept the Catalan side from scoring several times. Still, he hadn't much to do in the 84th minute, when newly substituted Giuly's deflected shot went in.

Tonio was again the man to watch in the dying minutes of the game, when he brought down Eidur Gudjohnsen in the penalty area. He saw "red" in front of his eyes and Ronaldinho made the best of his chances to score his opener in the Spanish League this season. The match ended 3-0 and Barcelona managed to stay top of the table, alongside Sevilla and Valencia - all 3 teams maintaining 100% in wins this season.

Real Madrid had to please their fans after their disappointing 2-0 loss at Lyon in the Champions League at mid-week. Fabio Capello managed to keep the pace with rivals Barcelona and beat Real Sociedad 2-0 at home. Despite the result, Madrid did not show a remarkable football and faced several minutes of domination by their visitors.

Jose Antonio Reyes proved the Madrilène fans that he is Real material and scored his team's opener in the 69th minute. He managed a Beckam-like performance and beat Sociedad's goalie, Asier Riesgo, with a beautiful shot from a free kick. David Beckam sealed the win for his team minutes from time, breaking Sociedad's defense and beating unlucky Riesgo.

Here is the complete action inside the Spanish League:

Real Madrid - Real Sociedad 2-0
Huelva - Levante 0-1
Athletic Bilbao - Athletico Madrid 1-4
Valencia - Getafe 2-0
Racing - Barcelona 0-3
Osasuna - Tarragona 2-0
Espanyol - Celta Vigo 2-1
Zaragoza - Mallorca 2-0
Sevilla - Betis 3-2
Deportivo - Villareal 2-0
