The 64-year-old actress and singer is supposedly facing serious problems with her tour, that was initially scheduled to start this year, in October, in all major cities in the US. When announcing that she will perform live again after many years, the diva stressed that part of the money will go to charity, through her foundation, to solve various environmental and social issues.
Unfortunately, things almost never go as planned and the organizers are confronted with a situation they certainly didn't expect: Barbra Streisand's fans refuse to buy tickets to her concerts!
Rumor has it that most of them are mad at being mislead when, six years ago, the singer announced that she was holding her 'farewell concert' and, thus, convincing her fans to buy the absurdly expensive tickets.
Now, people who attended the said concert are actually considering to sue the star, ask for their money back and, meanwhile, to boycott the current tour. It is said that in cities like Detroit, where Barbra planned to sing for two days in a row, ticket sales are so insignificant that she and her crew are thinking of relocating the show into smaller auditoriums.
In respect to this last rumor, Streisand's PR stated that, quote, "that is bulls**t. Tickets are going through the moon". Still, that doesn't change the fact that the artist is more than likely to be dragged into court by her angry fans.
