14 DAY TRIAL // Here’s something amusing. Renowned toy manufacturer, Mattel has released a new version of its adored Barbie doll that comes with some hip tech accessories, including a tablet.
After giving Barbie the choice between 150 careers, Mattel has announced the doll will be starting her own company, hence the mobile productivity items thrown in (via TabletGuide).
Barbie also comes with a smartphone with a pink cover and a handbag. Mattel offers the new doll model in four different ethnic versions (the famous blonde variant is amongst the four).
The new Barbie seems to be the business-type woman and apparently this is Mattel’s way of encouraging little girls to consider taking up the entrepreneurial role at some point in the future.
At the moment we don’t know whether Barbie is an Apple or Samsung fan, but her tablet accessory looks like a 10-incher with a white-paint job. iPad deja-vu anyone?
