Sometime last week, First Lady Michelle Obama went on the record to say that the US President, Barack, did not let their two daughters watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Jay Leno tried to confront Mr. Obama on that, but failed.

As the video here will confirm, the President was on Leno the other night, mostly to talk politics. However, the twosome also took some breathers and cracked jokes about a vast array of topics.

Among them was also that of his reported disapproval of the Kardashians' reality show, with Leno asking him directly why he doesn't like his daughters to watch the E! series.

As it turns out, Obama has never seen the show in question. “So you're making a judgment without ever seeing the show?” Leno asks.

The President is making visible efforts to avoid answering Leno's questions, eventually resorting to a joke to take some of the heat off.

It's not that he hates the Kardashians, he seems to say, he simply can't stand reality programming in general.

“I'm probably a little biased against reality TV because [of] this program on C-SPAN called 'Congress',” he says laughing.

His wife Michelle, though, has seen Keeping Up with the Kardashians, so she's probably more suited to answer Leno's questions.

As we also informed you a few days ago, Mrs. Obama said in an interview their daughters weren't allowed to watch the Kardashians on TV because Barack didn't approve.

Later reports claimed that the entire Kardashian clan was blindsided by the public “diss,” telling friends that it was Obama himself who told Khloe during a White House visit that his entire family loved the show because it was that good.

“In fact, the Kardashians believe Sasha and Malia could actually LEARN something from the show, because it features girls in real-life situations facing real-life problems... health, relationships, the whole gamut,” TMZ wrote after speaking to friends of the reality stars / sisters.
